In the year 2014, after several events of innocent tragedies, Sonia and her friends live in home with a hunted book. The book is haunted by dreams of a disfigured child-killer spirit, the lonely Sonia has troubles investigating this book, her prospective girlfriend, discovers the book in the closet, and slowly she learns of this predecessor's of this hunted book. When Sonia reads this book, a spirit attempts to exact punishment of an unsavory nature. The spirit intervenes, savagely murdering the girl Diana while she is home alone, and Sonia must flee the crime scene, terrified that she's going insane. Her father warned her not to read this book when she was a child, but Sonia doesn't remember if it was the same book. Bereft of sleep, alienated, and frightened of what the cursed spirit might do to her friends or her pal Alex -- especially if the spirit responds to her when the book is read -- the youth attempts to sequester himself in her friend's bedroom; the spirit emerges though, killing her sister.
